Weeks lesson is Resilience


Resilience is the property of a material to absorb energy. 

 

 


 I was able to survive against opponents that are either much bigger than me or better without taping out. It is a mental thing. 

 

To push your psychi past pain or mental block is to humble the ego, to get the mental strength to carry on. In that state of war, fighting to survive against the odds, I find my true self.  

 

What I'm capable of.  

 

In that point, I need to reach inside of me for strength and vitality. To get that last effort to turn things around and make a choke of my own. How stupefied can your opponent be if he has been winning the fight and gets taped out in the last 30 seconds? 

 

That can only be achieved through training. Training the mind that is.
